Splendid Indeed!

From the author of the bestselling novel, The Kite Runner, a brand new sensation was released this year, A Thousand Splendid Suns.
Just when everything about Afghanistan was starting to fade, the hardships of two Afghan women from two separate worlds in one country emerged and evolve into an emotional thriller.

A Thousand Splendid Suns is an unbelievable account of thirty years of Afghan history and heart touching tale about betrayal, family, friendship, faith, and love. “It is a splendid book with a sad story, which made my heart ache and stomach clench. Hosseini's fusion of historical events and human experiences makes the book unforgettable,” stated Afnan Haq.

Mariam and Laila are two very distinctive afghan women who are brought together due to war and fate. The bond that the women form as their relationship escalates from enemies to best friends embodies the exact meanings of loyalty and friendship. It also, shows the sacrifices a mother will offer to protect her children.

Even though this breathtaking novel revolves around the struggle and suffering of two women, men also enjoy reading it. “The book was great. I read the Kite Runner and loved it so when I found out that Khaled Hosseini was releasing another book; I just had to read it,” said Harmindar Singh. He went on to say, “One word couldn't describe how great the book was. It had so many details in it. I guess that most touching part of the book is how Hosseini covers the life of the two main characters and how their lives become intertwined as the book goes on. It’s beautiful how the story line goes and the ending was simply brilliant.” “I would recommend it anyone who has read the Kite Runner and if you haven’t then this is a must read book any way. Once you start reading this book, you will be compelled to keep on reading it until you are finished with it. Just a few words to describe this book would be satisfying, perfect, brilliant, and amazing,” he passionately stated.

A Thousand Splendid Suns is indeed splendid and with tear filled eyes touches the reader’s heart and create and image that will last forever. The next time you decide to stop by the library, do not hesitate to pick up a copy and read it to your heart’s content. It is a wonderful story, filled with magnificent characters and great accounts of history in a part of the world that is hardly ever talked about.

I think its really good. I've wanted to read A Thousand Splended Suns since I found out about it but I haven't found a copy.

There is a mistake in the last paragraph. The 2nd "and" in the first sentence should be an "an"
